Arrival by public transport
All lines with the destination Essen-Hauptbahnhof (engl.: Essen Central Station). Walk from Essen central station: From the north side of the station (direction "Innenstadt", engl.: city centre) cross Hollestraße and keep straight on towards the pedestrian zone. At the end of the Hotel Handelshof (about 50 m) keep to the right, where the street Am Handelshof begins. From there, turn into Akazienallee. Here you find the entrance "Am Handelshof 1", next to the car park Akazienallee.
Arriving by car
Coming from Dortmund: Use A40 exit Essen-Steele, at the end turn right into Steeler Straße (later Varnhorststraße). After 900 m (about 2 minutes) cross Bernestraße. Drive straight ahead into 1st Dellbrügge, from there take the second street on the left, Akazienallee. Here you find the car park Akazienallee on the left and at the end of the building the entrance "Am Handelshof 1".
Coming from Oberhausen: Use A40 exit Essen-Zentrum. Follow Helbingstraße straight through the tunnel. At the end, turn left at the roundabout and use the first exit, straight onto 1st Dellbrügge. From there enter the second street on the left, Akazienallee. Here you find the car park Akazienallee first on the left and at the end of the builing the entrance "Am Handelshof 1".
Parking
Good parking is available in the car park Akazienallee. It is located only a few meters from our entrance "Am Handelshof 1".
